In congress for the last few weeks has been a debate of of the health care system. The debate has been widely debated on both sides of the isle. However recently, I saw on P.B.S. a different story. This is a story of forced privatised insurance. Every American would have a health care plan that they are required to purchase. It would seem to me that all of this retort about socialised health care and a communist state may not be true. It appears that capitalism is failing so badly that it needs to have government forced requirements. That we shall be required to purchase the products of "the companies". I had been educated that in a free market that competition would give rise to the best products at the lowest cost. A good example would be the ATT break up in the 1980's. How does one reconcile the fact that ATT has now purchased all the baby bells and that we are to be forced to purchase health care from providers that no one can afford in the first place? Forced communism did not work for the soviet union, and forced capitalism will not work for us. However it sure does look like China, (a communist state) is in a position to purchase our resources with the capital that we provided to them by purchasing their products made with communist labor. Its all confusing isn't it?
