Red is an interesting color from a political perspective. Red is the color of communism. It is also the color that represents most of the southern States with the "conservative" ideology. It it is the color of the republicans. Isn't it interesting that the same color represents communism, the republicans and the idea of free labor. Free labor in the sense that they pay nothing for the labor of the people. The southern States were fighting for "sovereignty" and the whole slave issue was just an end game used by Lincoln to tip the balance in power. These southern States wanted sovereignty from the Union. They believed in states rights over federal rights. However these days I find it interesting that the south is not interested in this notion of states rights. The best evidence for this is the issue of medical cannabis. With more and more states adopting legislation allowing for the medical use of cannabis, it is the south that continues to fight against this issue the hardest. So states rights is only good if it means slaves. It has no place if it means people might have the "freedom" to alter their conscience and become "free" of pain. Could one make the argument that the southern states are pro-pain and suffering.
On to the blue. It was the blue states that fought for the freedom of the slaves. It was the blue states that wanted enforcement of human rights across lines of racial color. Now we find that the blue states are taking a stand on an issue that provides freedom of religion (Rasta) and freedom of pain. The blue states are freedom fighters. The blue states believe in honest wages for honest work. I could be wrong but I don't recall any strong labor unions exerting force coming from the south. The blue north needs to take a stand. Create a real "free" market and put cannabis back into the GDP.
Now for the White. I see this as black and white. Its time to end the black market. Now is the time to shine the white light on this issue and expose this farce for what it is. We need to see that prohibition has never worked and that it is not going to. That oppression of humans, plants or animals is just not going to benefit any one. We need to open our eyes and take a stand for what is right, take back what is left, and have our freedom.
